A fully hydraulic steering arrangement for vehicles is proposed, with an hydraulic pump (2) that is connected to a control valve (4) operable by a steering handwheel (5), a steering motor arrangement (8) and a steering metering device (7) which controls the volume of hydraulic fluid to be fed to the steering motor arrangement (8) by the control valve (4). In a steering arrangement of this kind, the physical effort expended by the driver during manoeuvering shall be reduced using simple means. To that end, an actuating device (13) is provided, which on operation arrests the metering device (7) mechanically with the aid of a brake device (15) and in this manner prevents the steering metering device (7) being actuated by the hydraulic fluid, and with the aid of a short-circuiting valve (14) produces a short-circuit for the hydraulic fluid for the steering metering device (7).
