The invention relates to a method of reducing the inhalation toxicity of functional fluids by incorporating into a functional fluid an effective amount of a copolymer which is obtainable by copolymerizing ethylene oxide, propylene oxide and/or butylene oxide with an initiator monool or diol, said copolymer having a degree of unsaturation of less than about 0.01 meq/g.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour réduire le degré de toxicité de fluides fonctionnels par inhalation. Ce procédé consiste à incorporer dans un fluide fonctionnel une dose efficace d'un copolymère productible par copolymérisation d'oxyde d'éthylène, d'oxyde de propylène et/ou d'oxyde de butylène avec un monoalcool ou dialcool initiateur, ledit copolymère ayant un degré d'insaturation approximativement inférieur à 0,01 meq/g.
