With the proposed functional test process for a mechanical switching element, specifically a trigger in a high-voltage power switch, a coil core (2) is set in motion by the magnetic action of a current flowing through a coil (1). The electrical pulse is cut off as soon as the derivative of the measured current characteristic reaches a particular value. This ensures that the movement of the core (2) and plunger (4) can always be stopped without triggering the power switch.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour contrôler le fonctionnement d'un élément de commutation mécanique, notamment d'un déclencheur dans un interrupteur de puissance haute tension. Selon ce procédé, l'action magnétique d'un courant parcourant une bobine (1) entraîne un mouvement d'un noyau de bobine (2). L'impulsion électrique est coupée dès que la dérivée du trajet du courant mesuré atteint une certaine valeur. Il est ainsi possible, en permanence, de stopper le mouvement du noyau (2) et du piston (4) sans déclencher l'interrupteur de puissance.
