Functionalised homopolymers and copolymers of .alpha.-amino acids of general formula (1), wherein X is oxygen or sulphur; R1 could be alkyl, alkenyl, substituted alkyl, aryl or substituted aryl; structure [An represents a poly(amino acid) chain based on .alpha.-amino acids or their derivatives with protected functional groups, wherein n could be in the range of 1- 500; Y is either OH, or a structure of formula (2), wherein R2 is H or an amino-acid residue, or a structure of formula (3), wherein Z and Z' are either NH or O; R3 is a chemical structure selected from alkyls, substituted alkyls, aryls, substituted aryls, or a polymer selected from a group comprising poly(ethylene oxide), poly(propylene oxide) and polybutadiene; P is hydrogen or an acyl group derived from a carboxylic acid selected from the group including alkanoic acids, succinic acid, maleic acid, acrylic acid, phthalic acids and cyclohexane dicarboxylic acids, or it is an acyl selected from a group consisting of compounds according to general formula (4), wherein R4 is selected from the group including C1 and C5 alkyls, CH2-O-CH2-CH2, CH2-O-CH2-CH2-CH2, and O-(CH2)3-O, wherein R4 may be the same in all structural units, or different and the subscript m means the number of said structural units and may be in the range of 2 - 800. A method of preparation of these polymers via a N-carboxy-anhydride process is described.
L'invention concerne des homopolymères et copolymères fonctionnalisés d' alpha -aminoacides de formule générale (1) dans laquelle X représente un oxygène ou soufre; R1 pourrait représenter un alkyle, alcényle, alkyle substitué, aryle ou aryle substitué; la structure [A]n représente une chaîne de poly(aminoacide) basée sur des alpha -aminoacides ou leurs dérivés avec des groupes fonctionnels protégés, <u>n</u> pouvant être compris entre 1 et 500; Y représente soit OH ou une structure de la formule (2) dans laquelle R2 représente H ou un reste d'aminoacide ou une structure de formule (3), dans laquelle Z et Z' représentent NH ou O; R3 représente une structure chimique sélectionnée dans les alkyles, alkyles substitués, aryles, aryles substitués ou un polymère sélectionné dans un groupe comprenant un poly(éthylène oxyde), poly(propylène oxyde) et polybutadiène; P représente un hydrogène ou un groupe acyle dérivé d'un acide carboxylique sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant des acides alcanoïques, acide succinique, acide maléique, acide acrylique, acides phtaliques et acides dicarboxyliques de cyclohexane ou il représente un acyle sélectionné dans un groupe constitué de composés selon la formule générale (4), dans laquelle R4 est sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant des alkyles C1-C5, CH2-O-CH2-CH2, CH2-O-CH2-CH2-CH2, et O-(CH2)3-O, dans laquelle R4 peut être le même dans toutes les unités structurales ou différent et l'indice <u>m</u> représente le nombre d'unités structurales et peut être compris entre 2 et 800. Un procédé de préparation de ces polymères via un procédé utilisant un N-carboxy-anhydre fait aussi l'objet de cette invention.
