A polybutadiene resin functionalized by R-COO- type terminal functions which are derived from an .alpha., .beta. unsaturated carboxylic acid, said resin consisting of the product of the reaction of a -COOH or anhydride-terminated polybutadiene derivative with at least one epoxide, said epoxide being a monoepoxide in such a case it bears a R-COO- type function as defined above, or a diepoxide in such a case the reaction has been conducted with a stoichiometric excess of diepoxide or of -COOH or anhydride-terminated polybutadiene, and as the case may be, the residual epoxide functions having partly or totally reacted with an .alpha., .beta. unsaturated carboxylic acid or the residual -COOH or anhydride functions having partly or totally reacted with a monoepoxide having a R-COO- type function as defined above.
L'invention concerne une résine polybutadiène fonctionnalisée par des fonctions terminales de type R-COO- qui sont dérivées d'un acide carboxylique insaturé .alpha., .beta.. Cette résine se compose du produit de la réaction d'un dérivé de polybutadiène à terminaison anhydride ou -COOH avec au moins un époxyde, et, lorsque cet époxyde est un monoépoxyde, il porte une fonction de type R-COO- définie plus haut, ou avec un diépoxyde et dans ce cas, la réaction est effectuée avec un excès stoechiométrique de diépoxyde ou de polybutadiène à terminaison anhydride ou -COOH. Selon le cas, les fonctions époxyde résiduelles réagissent partiellement, ou totalement, avec un acide carboxylique insaturé .alpha., .beta. ou les fonctions anhydride ou -COOH résiduelles réagissent partiellement ou totalement avec un monoépoxyde présentant une fonction de type R-COO définie plus haut.
