ABSTRACT Fungicidal compositions comprising at least one monoester of phosphorous acid of the general formula:- Image wherein R represents an alkyl radical containing from 2 to 4 carbon atoms, Me represents an alkali metal, alkaline earth metal or aluminium atom and n is an integer from 1 to 3 equal to the valency of Me, and at least one contact fungicide chosen from compounds based on copper, metal ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamates and phthalimide compounds, the ratio of alkyl phosphite of general formula I to contact fungicide being 1:0.05 to 8 by weight, are particularly useful for the protection of vines against fungal attack, especially against mildew.
