ABSTRACT Novel 2-sulphinyl-5-sulphonyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives of the general formula I Image (I) (wherein R1 and R2 each represents C1-C6-alkyl, C2-C6- alkenyl, C2-C6-alkynyl or C3-C6-cycloalkyl) and their manufacture. The novel compounds have a fungicidal action against phytopathogenic fungi, especially against cereal fungi, and accordingly may be made up with suitable carriers into fungicidal preparations and may be used for protect- ing living plants, crop areas and seeds against such fungi.
