ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a furnace connected to a suspension preheater, hot air generated in a cooler and suctioned by a main air exhausting means is given swirling movement by blowing air with a fan into the furnace at a speed higher than the speed of the hot air stream whereby powder supplied to the furnace is dispersed and heat exchange with the powder is enhanced and also the volume of air necessary for combustion is set at a constant rate.
