FURNACE GRATE Abstract of the Disclosure A cooler grate for hot cement clinker is provided with a plurality of rows of air holes and the bottom face of the grate is formed with a plural- ity of fins which undulate between the successive air holes to impart strength to the grate and turbulence to the air directed upwardly through the grate so as to cool the grate to a temperature substantially be- low the hot clinker on the grate.
