ABSTRACT An item of furniture comprising an envelope or bag made from flexible substantially inextensible material and containing a stuffing material in the form of discrete particles, preferably foamed polystyrene beans, the bag having a chair shape, when loaded with beans, including a back zone and a seat zone, with a sealable opening for filling the envelope with beans and an internal tie joining the base of the chair to a part of the envelope adjacent the junction of back zone and the seat zone to maintain the envelope in the chair shape when in use.
