ABSTRACT In a furniture chassis having a holding part such as a chair seat element and one or more elongate construction parts such as legs the construction parts are joined to the holding part by means of conical end tenon portions forced into correspond- ingly conical holes in the holding part . The tenon portions are of pronounced non-circular cross section, and they are conical from the full cross sec- tional contour of the construction parts , thus without showing any shoulder portion abutting the out- side of the holding part .
