A foot assembly has a sleeve assembly for frictionally engaging an end of a hollow tube. The sleeve assembly has like half sleeve sections and each of the sleeve sections has a series of ridges on an inner concave surface. The series of ridges present a double entry thread when the half sleeve section are facing each other. The foot assembly has a base assembly which has a shank having a series of ridges on an outer circumferential surface thereof. The series of ridges on the shank are arranged in a double entry thread pattern complementary to the thread pattern of the sleeve sections. The foot assembly is extensible by rotating the base assembly relative to the sleeve sections.
Ensemble pied comportant un ensemble manchon qui permet d'engager par friction une extrémité d'un tube creux. L'ensemble manchon possède des demi-sections de manchon semblables et chacune des sections présente une série de sillons sur une surface concave intérieure. Ces sillons présentent un filet à double entrée lorsque les demi-sections de manchon se font face. L'ensemble pied possède un ensemble base ayant une tige qui présente une série de sillons sur une surface circonférentielle extérieure. La série de sillons sur la tige est disposée en un motif de filet à double entrée complémentaire au motif de filet des sections de manchon. L'ensemble pied est extensible par rotation de l'ensemble base, en lien avec les sections de manchon.
