FURNITURE SEAT BOTTOM INCLUDING CONTINUOUS COIL SPRING ASSEMBLY ABSTRACT A spring assembly (16) for a furniture seat bottom (12) is disclosed as including a lower sup- port (20) and a plurality of continuous coil springs (34) mounted on the lower support. Each of the continuous coil springs (34) extends be- tween opposite margins of the lower support (20) and includes a plurality of coils (36) formed uni- tary with each other from a single strand of wire. The adjacent coils (36) of each continuous coil spring (34) preferably include loops (38) that re- ceive each other in an interlocking fashion, and the springs preferably extend in a front to rear direction between front and rear margins of the lower support. Spring assembly (16) is also dis- closed as including an upper border wire (40), helical spring connectors (50), and diagonal sta- bilizers (52,54).
