Abstract: With the continual increase in various kinds of technical office equipment, the problem arises of laying the necessary cables as far as possible out of sight. To this end, spaces for cable installations are to be provided in the side walls of cupboards. For this purpose, the side walls of cupboards consist of a metal frame (4) sandwiched between two cover plates (28; 29). The cover plates are screwed to the metal frame (4). Screwed to the metal frame (4) is a U-section metal strip which is overlapped for a U-section cover strip (23) of resilient plastics material. A space is formed between the two cover plates for cable installations, which is accessible from the front of the cupboard.
