The invention relates to fused pyrrole compounds of formula (I), wherein at least one of the radicals R1, R2, R3 represent 4-sulfur-substituted phenyl. The invention specifically concerns pyrrolizines, indolizines and heteroanalogues with a selective inhibitory effect on isoenzyme-2 of the prostaglandin-H-synthase (COX-2). The invention also relates to pharmaceutical agents that contain these compounds, and to the use of these compounds for treating diseases of the rheumatic form-cycle.

L'invention concerne des composés de pyrrole annelés de la formule (I) dans laquelle au moins un des restes R1, R2, R3 et R4 désigne phényle substitué par soufre en position 4. Il s'agit plus particulièrement de pyrrolizines, d'indolizines et d'hétéranalogues, qui exercent une activité inhibitrice sélective sur l'isoenzyme-2 de la protaglandine-H-synthase (COX-2). L'invention concerne également des agents pharmaceutiques contenant lesdits composés, ainsi que l'utilisation desdits composés pour traiter des affections du système morphologique rhumatismal.
