ABSTRACT The invention provides a contactless fuse carrier 11 for a blade-contact cartridge-type fuse- link 17, formed as a single moulding having an elongate body 12 from one side of which a spaced-apart pair of legs 13 and 14 project, one leg 13 having a slot 15 through which one blade 18 of the fuse- link is inserted and the other having a lateral recess 16 into which the other blade 19 is then pushed, transversely of the carrier, to position the fuselink with its cartridge 20 housed between the legs of the carrier and its contact blades projecting beyond the legs and thereby exposed for insertion into fixed contacts 31, 32 as the carrier legs are pushed into the fuseholder base 25. Preferably, the fuse carrier is formed with a lug or tongue 21 which hinders, but does not prevent, transverse movement of the second blade 19 of the fuselink into (and more especially out of) the lateral recess 16 in the second leg 14 of the carrier.
