A fuser component useful in electrostatographic machines is provided, having a substrate, and thereover a coating composition comprising a haloelastomer, such as, for example, a fluoroelastomer, and a deflocculating agent. A fuser component comprising a deflocculating agent exhibits improved properties including, but not limited to, increased gloss and a smoother coating surface with a relatively high adhesive strength. The use of a deflocculating agent also reduces or eliminates the barium sulfate defect.

La présente invention concerne un élément de fixation d'une grande utilisé pour les machines électrostatgraphiques; l'élément comporte un substrat, sur lequel il y a une composition de revêtement comprenant un haloélastomère, par exemple un fluoroélastomère, ainsi qu'un agent défloculant. Un élément de fixation comprenant un tel agent démontre des propriétés améliorées comprenant, entre autres, une brillance accrue et une surface de revêtement plus lisse, avec une résistance d'adhésion relativement élevée. L'utilisation de l'agent défloculant permet aussi de réduire ou d'éliminer toute impureté au sulfate de baryum.
