The present invention relates to fusion proteins (fusion polypeptides), particularly for use in expression and/or purification systems. The present inventors have found that the To1AIII domain has remarkable properties which are of particular use as a fusion protein partner to achieve high levels of expression in a host cell. In one aspect of the invention, a To1AIII domain or a functional homologue, fragment, or derivative thereof is located towards the N-terminus of the fusion polypeptide and a non-To1A polypeptide is located towards the C-terminus of the fusion polypeptide.
L'invention concerne des protéines de fusion (polypeptides de fusion), particulièrement utiles dans des systèmes d'expression et/ou de purification. Les inventeurs de la présente invention ont trouvé que le domaine de TolAIII présentait d'excellentes propriétés particulièrement appropriées à une utilisation en tant que partenaire de protéine de fusion afin d'obtenir des niveaux élevés d'expression dans une cellule hôte. Dans un aspect de l'invention, un domaine de TolAIII ou un homologue, fragment, ou dérivé fonctionnel dudit domaine est situé à proximité du N-terminal dudit polypeptide de fusion et un polypeptide non-TolA est situé à proximité du C-terminal dudit polypeptide de fusion.
