The present invention provides a ligand toxin which has cytotoxic activity against cells overexpressing erbB3 and/or erbB4. The ligand toxin comprises a peptide having or including an amino acid sequence which binds to erbB3 and/or erbB4 fused to a toxin. In a preferred form the peptide has or includes an amino acid sequence substantially homologous to that of the epidermal growth factor-like domain of heregulin .beta.2. It is also preferred that the toxin is Pseudomonas exotoxin or a derivative thereof.

La présente invention se rapporte à une toxine ligand présentant une activité cytotoxique contre les cellules à surexpression d'erbB3 et/ou d'erbB4. Cette toxine ligand comprend un peptide présentant ou contenant une séquence d'acides aminés qui se lie à l'erbB3 et/ou à l'erbB4 fusionné à une toxine. Dans une forme préférée, ce peptide présente ou contient une séquence d'acides aminés sensiblement homologue à celle du domaine du type facteur de croissance de l'épiderme de l'héréguline .beta.2. Il est par ailleurs préférable que ladite toxine soit une exotoxine de Pseudomonas ou un dérivé de celle-ci.
