A gabion deployment system comprising: a container (30) for retaining a gabion (22) and a gabion (22) of the folding type comprising hingedly attached, connected side walls (16 & 18) and cross-members (12) such that it can be folded for storage and deployed for use; a retaining means (50) associated with the container (30) for retaining the gabion (20) in the container; and at least one releasable attaching, connecting or retentive engaging means (66) for attaching, connecting or retentively engaging at least one part of the gabion (22) to the retaining means (50); wherein the at least one releasable attaching, connecting or retentively engaging means (66) is adapted to attach, connect or retentively engage a part of the gabion (22) to the retaining means (50) when the gabion (22) is folded but to release the gabion (22) from the retaining means (50) when the gabion (22) is deployed.
L'invention concerne un système de déploiement de gabion qui comporte: un contenant (30) pour retenir un gabion (22) et un gabion (22) du type pliable comportant, fixés de façon articulée, des parois latérales reliées (16 & 18) et des éléments transversaux (12), de telle sorte que le gabion peut être plié en position de rangement et déployé en position d'utilisation; un moyen de retenue (50) associé au contenant (30) pour retenir le gabion (20) dans le contenant; et au moins un moyen d'attache libérable, de connexion ou de contact de retenue (66) pour attacher, connecter ou venir en contact de retenue avec au moins une partie du gabion (22) au moyen de retenue (50). Selon l'invention, le ou les moyens d'attache libérable, de connexion ou de contact de retenue (66) sont conçus pour attacher, connecter ou venir en contact de retenue une partie du gabion (22) au moyen de retenue (50) lorsque le gabion (22) est plié, mais pour libérer le gabion (22) du moyen de retenue (50) lorsque le gabion (22) est déployé.
