The present invention relates to simplified synthesis, new carbohydrate-based products and practical use of different carbohydrate-based products. Examples of these are (Gal.alpha.1-3Gal), GlcNAc.beta.1-3Gal, .alpha.- or .beta.- glycosides thereof, Gal.alpha.1-3Gal- containing tri-, or higher oligosaccharides, .alpha.- or .beta.-glycosides thereof, GlcNAc.beta.1-3Gal containing tri-, tetra-, or higher oligosaccharides, and derivatives and/or .alpha.- or .beta.-glycosides thereof, Gal.alpha.1-3GalGlcNAc.beta.1-3Gal, .alpha.- or .beta.-glycosides thereof, Gal.alpha.1-3Gal.beta.1-4GlcNAc.beta.1- 3Gal.beta.1-4Glc, or other higher oligosaccharides containing the Gal.alpha.1- 3Gal-structure, .alpha.- or .beta.-glycosides thereof, modified carbohydrates, di-, tri-, oligo-, or polyfunctional products containing carbohydrate structures, and the use of the products for synthesis, affinity purification, diagnostic applications and therapy.
L'invention porte sur de nouveaux produits à base d'hydrates de carbone faciles à synthétiser, et sur leurs différentes utilisations pratiques. Ces produits sont par exemple: le (Gal.alpha.1-3Gal), le GlcNAc.beta.1-3Gal et leurs glycosides .alpha. ou .beta.; le Gal.alpha.1-3Gal contenant des tri-oligosaccharides ou des oligosaccharides d'ordre plus élevé et leurs glycosides .alpha. ou .beta.; le GlcNAc.beta.1-3Gal contenant des tri, tétra oligosaccharides ou des oligosaccharides d'ordre plus élevé et leurs dérivés et/ou leurs glycosides .alpha. ou .beta.; le Gal.alpha.1-3GalGlcNAc.beta.1-3Gal et leurs glycosides .alpha. ou .beta.; le Gal.alpha.1-3Gal.beta.11-4GlcNAc.beta.1-3Gal.beta.1-4Glc et d'autres oligosaccharides d'ordre plus élevé comportant la structure Gal.alpha.1-3Gal et leurs glycosides .alpha. ou .beta.; des hydrates de carbone modifiés; des produits di, tri, oligo ou plurifonctionnels contenant des structures d'hydrates de carbone. L'invention porte également sur l'utilisation de ces différents produits pour la synthèse et la purification par affinité, ainsi que sur leurs applications en matière de diagnostic et de thérapie.
