PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de fabrication d'oxyde de gallium, caractérisé en ce qu'on mélange sous agitation une solution de sel de gallium avec une base pour obtenir l'hydroxyde de gallium, opère à chaud le mûris- sement de l'hydroxyde de gallium, filtre l'oxyhydroxyde obtenu, le sèche, le calcine et en ce que, avant et /ou après la filtration, lave l'oxyhydroxyde. L'oxyde de gallium obtenu peut notamment être utilisé pour la fabrication de grenats et de luminophores.
