GALVANIC CURRENT PROTECTED WATER HEATING ELEMENT WITH SCREW-IN CLAMPING ARRANGEMENT Abstract of the Disclosure A resistive heating element having an adaptor securable to an outside wall of a metallic water-heater tank. A clamp-down nut is detachably securable to the adaptor. A mounting block is also provided, and has a metallic sheathed electric resistive heating element projecting therefrom in an insulated manner. A seal is disposed between the mounting block and the adaptor. The mounting block has an electrically conductive sealing plate in an inner end thereof and in electrical contact with a metallic sheath of the resistive heating element. A galvanic current limiting resistor is electrically connected between the conductive sealing plate and the clamp-down nut through the mounting block. The clamp-down nut is in mating engagement with the adaptor to clamp the mounting block and the conductive sealing plate against the seal and further to clamp the seal against the tank wall to provide a water seal and also to permit installation and removal of the mounting block and resistive heating element.
