A gambling chip (30) comprising a decorative pattern provided on at least one side (32) thereof and on the bevelled edge thereof by pad printing using an ink pad (40) with a compressed flexible head (42), is disclosed. A method for marking a gambling chip with a decorative pattern by means of at least one ink pad printing step combined with a step of depositing at least one layer of varnish, is also disclosed.
