A player feeds a general purpose charge card (24), such as a VISA, MasterCard or AMERICAN EXPRESS card, or an account identification to a reader (26) at a gaming machine (10) or enters on a keyboard (20) or other input device, information relating to the general purpose charge card (24) or account identification for transmission to a transaction processing facility. The processing facility associates the account information with a gaming account and determines whether to grant a user request. If the request is granted, the gaming machine (10) is enabled and thereafter one or more running net credit balances are kept by accounting for win-lose-draws. After the playing session is over, net playing credit information is automatically transmitted to the transaction processing facility.
Un joueur utilise une carte de crédit (24) à usage général, telle qu'une carte VISA, MASTERCARD ou AMERICAN EXPRESS, ou un identificateur de compte, comme entrée destinée à un lecteur (26) d'une machine à sous (10), ou bien il entre sur un clavier (20) ou tout autre dispositif d'entrée, des informations relatives à la carte de crédit (24) à usage général ou un identificateur de compte en vue de leur transmission à un module de traitement des transactions. Le module de traitement associe les informations relatives au compte à un compte de jeu et il décide de satisfaire ou non une demande émanant d'un utilisateur. Si la demande est accordée, la machine à sous (10) est activée, puis un ou plusieurs soldes courant de crédit net sont conservés d'un point de vue comptable pour les tirages gagnant-perdant. Une fois la session de jeu terminée, les informations relatives au crédit net de jeu sont automatiquement transmises au module de traitement des transactions.
