The invention provides gamma hydroxy primary carbamate functional compounds, film-forming compositions comprising such compounds and methods of making the same. The film-forming compositions disclosed herein comprise (I) a gamma hydroxy primary carbamate comprising one or more structures of the formula (I); wherein X and Y are either a primary carbamate group or a hydroxyl group but are not the same, m is a number from 2 to 50, R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are each at least one of H, an alkyl group, a heteroatom containing group, and mixtures thereof, and P is at least one gydrocarbon based member selected from a compound, an oligomer or polymer having more than 6 carbon atoms.
L'invention concerne des composés fonctionnels gamma-hydroxycarbamates primaires, des compositions filmogènes comprenant de tels composés, et des procédés de production de ces derniers. Les compositions filmogènes présentées comprennent (I) un carbamate gamma-hydroxy-primaire contenant au moins une structure correspondant à la formule (I). Dans cette formule : X et Y représentent chacun soit un groupe carbamate primaire, soit un groupe hydroxyle, et sont différents l'un de l'autre ; m représente un nombre de 2 à 50, R?1¿, R?2¿, R?3¿, R?4¿ et R?5¿ représentent chacun au moins H, un groupe alkyle, un groupe contenant un hétéroatome, et des mélanges de ceux-ci ; et P représente au moins un élément hydrocarboné sélectionné parmi un composé, un oligomère ou un polymère possédant plus de 6 atomes de carbone.
