ABSTRACT An improved gamma camera arrangement wherein the spatially defined acceptance of gamma radiation from a source distribution of clinical interest is enhanced by a unique colli- mator structure. Aliasing frequencies otherwise derived from an orthogonal strip detector array are identified and avoided through a structural geometry wherein collimator resolution is greater than or equal to about 1.7(?), where, ?, is the strip spacing of the array.
