A nozzle is provided for an injection molding apparatus. The nozzle includes a nozzle body, a heater, a tip, a tip surrounding piece. The nozzle body defines a nozzle body melt passage, which has an inlet that is adapted to be downstream from and in communication with a melt source. The heater is connected to said body for heating melt in said nozzle body melt passage. The tip defines a tip melt passage that is downstream from and in communication with said nozzle body melt passage. The tip melt passage has an outlet that is upstream from a gate in a mold component. The tip includes a tip sealing surface. The tip surrounding piece includes a first tip surrounding piece sealing surface. The first tip surrounding piece sealing surface and said tip sealing surface are separated by a gap. The gap is sized to inhibit the flow of melt between said first tip surrounding piece sealing surface and said tip sealing surface.

La présente concerne une buse utilisée dans un appareil de moulage par injection. La buse comprend un corps de buse, un élément chauffant, une pointe, un élément entourant la pointe. Le corps de la buse renferme un passage du matériau de fusion, qui est pourvu d'un orifice d'entrée adapté pour être en aval d'une source de matériau de fusion et communication avec celle-ci. L'élément chauffant est relié audit corps de la buse pour chauffer le matériau de fusion dans ledit passage de fusion. La pointe définit un passage de fusion qui est en aval dudit passage de fusion dans le corps de la buse et en communication avec celui-ci. Le passage de fusion de la pointe comporte un orifice de sortie qui est en amont d'une soupape dans un composant de moule. La pointe comporte une surface d'étanchéité. L'élément entourant la pointe comprend une première surface d'étanchéité. Ladite première surface d'étanchéité de l'élément entourant la pointe et ladite surface d'étanchéité de la pointe sont séparées par un écart. L'écart est dimensionné pour empêcher l'écoulement du matériau de fusion entre ladite première surface d'étanchéité de l'élément entourant la pointe et ladite surface d'étanchéité de la pointe.
