An overhead garage door sealing unit, for sealing fitment within a garage door frame of a garage door which is in a generally vertically downwards direction into a closed position in generally adjacent fitment within or behind the garage door frame the door sealing unit having a rigid elongate sealing member mountable to a vertical upright of said garage door frame in movable relation thereto, movable against a resilient return biasing force of a resilient elevating device, mountable between the elongate sealing member and the door frame, from all elevated position elevated away from the closed position to a door sealing position, snugly adjacent the garage door when in the closed position, and a garage door engaging arm for releasably engaging the elongate sealing member with the garage door when the garage door is translated in the generally vertical downwards direction into the closed position to thereby urge the elongate sealing member into the door sealing position, thereby the garage door is sealed within the garage door frame by the elongate sealing member when the garage door is closed and whereby when the garage door is raised the elongate sealing member is urged away from snug adjacency with the garage door.
