GARBAGE BAG HOLDER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A holder for a garbage bag comprises a wire loop including two horizontal cross bars each supported on a pair of vertical legs with the bottom ends of the legs connected by bottom bars arranged at right angles to the cross bars to form a symmetrical structure which is identical when inverted. The junction between each leg and the associated bottom bar is formed by a bend in the wire at an angle slightly greater than a right angle to provide spring effect. Each leg includes at its end adjacent the respective cross bar an outwardly canted portion which is inclined upwardly and outwardly away from the opposite cross bar so as to stretch them out of the bag when engaged over the cross bars. The legs in one embodiment are split at a central position for disassembly for transportation and are connected by sleeve connectors arranged to prevent rotation of one leg portion relative to the other about the longitudinal axis of the leg.
