ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a garbage collection assembly having a duct extending through and mounted on a building wall, a hood mounted on the duct, and a manually transportable receptacle for receiving garbage which is adapted for ease of insertion and removal from a position under the hood. A recyclable garbage collection system is also disclosed wherein a plurality of garbage collection assemblies are mounted through a plurality of holes in a building wall. Each assembly is designated for collection of a particular type of recyclable refuse. Modular ducts are provided for use in the recyclable garbage collection system.
