ABSTRACT Garbage sent out from food process industry, cooking room, home kitchen, etc. is treated completely by a compact garbage treatment system without descharging any pollution material such as sewage at all. After crushing garbage by a crushing section 12, the crushed garbage is dewatered by a dewatered section 14, and solid waste portions left after the dewatering are treated by a solid waste treatment section 16. Sewage flowing out as a result of the dewatering of garbage is treated by a sewage treatment section 20 to decompose water pollution materials such as BOD, COD in the sewage by oxidation and drain out the treated sewage as a clean water. The sewage treatment section 20 is provided with an air supply pipe at the bottom and sewage treatment tanks 70, 72, 74 in which a plurality of activated sludge process beds peculiar to the invention are provided vertically. The crushing section 12, dewatering section 14, solid waste treatment section 16 and sewage treatment section 20 are connected one another to form an integral unit.
