Novel inhibitors of potassium flux are disclosed. The inhibitors show surprising resistance to degradation in biological media and enhanced in vivo half-lives relative to non-fluorine substituted homologues. Methods for the use of these compounds include treating sickle cell disease, preventing erythrocyte dehydration and inhibiting potassium flux.
L'invention concerne de nouveaux inhibiteurs de flux potassiques présentant à la fois une résistance surprenante à toute altération dans un milieu biologique, et des demi-vies in vivo améliorées par rapport à celles d'homologues substitués non fluorés. Cette invention concerne également des méthodes d'utilisation de ces composés afin de traiter la drépanocytose, prévenir la déshydratation des érythrocytes, et inhiber les flux potassiques.
