A garment (10) with a convertible collar (12) includes a garment, a collar secured to the garment and defining a pouch (14) with an open-top end (16), and a fleece-like sheet (30) secured to the garment (10). The sheet (30) is movable between a storage orientation, wherein substantially all of the shoet (30) extends through the open-top end of the pouch (14), and a use orientation, wherein the sheet (30) is substantially disposed outside of the pouch (14) and overlies substantially all of the upper collar surface (20) of the collar (12). Fasteners (50, 60) on the collar (12) and the sheet (30) releasably maintain the sheet (30) in the use orientation, and fasteners on the pouch (14) and the sheet (30) releasably maintain the open-top end (16) substantially closed when the sheet (30) is in the storage orientation.
