GARNET BUBBLE DOMAIN MATERIAL UTILIZING LANTHANUM AND LUTECIUM ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention is a substituted garnet bubble domain material in which lutecium and lanthanum have been substituted for yttrium. More specifically, the material comprises a gadolinium gallium garnet substrate; and an epitaxial bubble domain film supported by said substrate, said bubble doamin film having a nominal composition of substantially Lu2.27La0.73Ga1.1Fe3.9O12. This material has a high growth-induced uniaxial anisotropy (KG) and high wall mobility.
