ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A gas-bag supported structural foundation comprises at least one flexible, substantially air-tight bag adapted to be placed on the ground; a floor structure superimposed on the bag; a source of gas under pressure; conduits connecting the source of gas under pressure to the bag, and the bags to atmosphere; and in the conduits valve means responsive to changes in floor level and operative to direct the flow of gas to and from the bag as required to maintain the floor in a substantially level condition.
