Abstract: A gas burner (1), particularly an atmospheric gas burner with primary air premixing, with a burner ring (5 having gas outlet ducts (8), and with a burner cover (6) which may be constructed so as to form one piece with the latter provides a solution by which, in particular, the NOx content as well as the CO content in the exhaust gas in atmospheric burners is significantly reduced, specifically over a large regulating range between low and high settings of the burner. This is achieved in that the center axis (9) of the gas outlet ducts (8) lies at an angle diverging from 0° relative to a radius (10) associated with the respective outlet opening (8a). Drawings to be published with this Abstract: Figs. 1 and 1a
