A B S T R A C T In a gas burner having vertical slots extending radially outwards from a gas-air distribution chamber, between an annular base member and a deflector cover, vertical channels are formed around the periphery of the burner head leaving between each pair of adjacent channels a protruberance in which at least one outlet slot is formed, the vertical channels permitting a flow of fresh air for secondary aeration of the flames at the outlet slots. - 1 -
