A gas burner module (11) for a gas cooktop (30) has a gas burner (13) with an ignition and monitoring electrode (24), and also ignition and control electronics (27), a flame monitoring means (24) and a gas valve. A burner foot (15) in the form of a base is provided as the supporting element of the gas burner module (11). These parts of the gas burner module (11) are combined to form a unit and are mechanically connected to one another in such a way that they form a unit which can be handled independently.
