A B S T R A C T GAS COMPOSITION MODIFICATION An integrated process for modifying the H2/CO ratio in specified gaseous streams is disclosed, the process being charac- terized by bulk removal of H2S, adjustment of H2/CO ratio by water gas (or carbon monoxide) shift, and removal of remaining H2S. CO2 may be recovered, and the process may be operated to produce a gas comprising principally hydrogen.
