A Gas Cooler Abstract The specification describes a gas cooler for removing condensed matter from not crude gas, as for example generator gas using, indirect heat exchange in bundles of cooling tubes. Tubes spacer plates define an inlet and an outlet chamber. From one of these chambers the condensate is removed. Each cooling tube is surrounded by a casing tube and the casing tubes are fixed in tube spacer plates which delimit a cooling gas inlet and a cooling gas outlet cham- ber which are respectively separated by the corresponding spacer plates for the cooling tubes.
