ABSTRACT: When a gas discharge laser is secured to a holder, preferably by means of spot welding, by means of at least two pair of leaf springs, in which the leaf springs per pair are situated substantially in ore plane at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the gas discharge laser and on either side of said laser, a gas discharge laser device has been obtained in which substantially no bending moments as a result of temperature gradients in the laser and/or holder occur. As a result of this, the place and the direction of the laser beam generated by means of such a device remain substantially equal. - 11 -
