Eductor apparatus (100, 99) is provided for introducing gas into a liquid in a gas flotation cell, the apparatus comprising a clean liquid inlet port (101), the inlet port having an outlet end (104) through which the clean liquid is ejected in a first direction, a gas inlet chamber (187) adjacent to the outlet end of the inlet port for introducing gas to the liquid from a gas inlet port (102), the gas inlet chamber substantially surrounding the flow of liquid when the apparatus is in use, and a gas/liquid mixing and diffusing section (103) wherein gas is entrained within the liquid prior to being ejected from the eductor apparatus into the contaminated liquid, the gas/liquid mixing and diffusing section having a direction of fluid flow substantially transverse to the first direction such that the fluid exits from the gas/liquid mixing and diffusing section substantially radially outwardly relative to said first direction.
L'invention concerne un éjecteur (100, 99) permettant d'introduire du gaz dans un liquide dans une cellule de flottation à l'air dissous. Cet éjecteur comprend: un orifice d'entrée (101) de liquide propre présentant une extrémité de sortie (104) par laquelle le liquide propre est éjecté dans un premier sens; une chambre d'entrée (187) de gaz adjacente à l'extrémité de sortie de l'orifice d'entrée qui permet d'introduire du gaz dans le liquide depuis un orifice d'entrée (102) de gaz, celle-ci entourant sensiblement l'écoulement de liquide lors de l'utilisation dudit éjecteur; et une partie de mélange et de diffusion (103) de gaz/liquide dans laquelle le gaz est entraîné dans le liquide avant d'être éjecté depuis l'éjecteur dans le liquide contaminé, celle-ci présentant un sens d'écoulement sensiblement transversal au premier sens de façon que le liquide sorte de ladite partie de mélange et de diffusion de gaz/liquide sensiblement radialement vers l'extérieur par rapport audit premier sens.
