ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Gas-emitting bath additive compositions are stably preserved over a long term. They comprise a carbonate, an organic acid, and a stabilizer which is selected from magnesium oxide, sodium aluminate and a mixture thereof. Magnesium oxide and sodium aluminate are effective to improve the preservation stability of bath additives when used in an amount of 0.1 to 1.5 wt% of the total composition.
