ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A particulate nitrogen gas generating compo- sition is provided wherein the particles of the compo- sition are coated on the outside with a fast-burning material which improves the ignitablity and the ingition delay time of composition. The coating material com- prises a bosster-like pyrotechnic and is applied in admixture with either an organic or inorganic binder.
