ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A gas heater for heating a mat soaked with an insecticide or the like, is heated by a catalytic reaction of a combustion gas, e.g. butane, comprises a gas container, a gas burner surrounded by a catalyst which are contained in a burner with apertures, through which a pilot flame from a pilot nozzle ignited by a high voltage generator is blown; a main valve for the gas burner, a pilot valve for the pilot nozzle, and a high voltage generator are controlled in a inter-linked fashion.
