38 GAS LIFT VALVE UTILIZING A DIAPHRAGM PILOT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A gas lift valve is provided with a pilot valve for opening a main valve member. The pilot valve is mounted in the body of the gas lift valve and comprises a slidable valve member between which member and the body is a sealing diaphragm. The diaphragm has a disc-like member extending between opposed recesses in the pilot valve member and the body means. The outer edge of the member is clamped in the body means recess and the inner edge of the member is forced by biasing means into sealing engagement with the piston valve member. (Fig. 2B)
