This invention relates to a method for gas metal arc welding of coated steels and a shielding gas therefor. The shielding gas is made up of from 6 to 10 volume percent carbon dioxide; from 6 to 10 volume percent helium; and the balance argon.

L'invention concerne un procédé de soudage MIG d'aciers revêtus, et un gaz de protection associé. Le gaz de protection est fait de 6 à 10 % en volume de dioxyde de carbone, de 6 à 10 % en volume d'hélium, le reste étant formé d'argon.
