PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention concerne un adsorbant pour la purifi- cation de l'hydrogène et un procédé de purification, plus particulièrement un procédé de purification selon les méthodes PSA et TSA. L'adsorbant selon l'invention est à base de tamis moléculaire utilisé pour la purification des gaz par adsorption des impuretés et présente un faible taux de recouvrement en impuretés adsorbés. Le tamis moléculaire est une zéolite du type 5A. Le tamis moléculaire est mélangé à un liant argileux de la famille des kaolinites contenant au moins 75% de kaolinite et au plus 20% de quarts. Cet adsorbant est notamment utilisable pour la purification de l'hydrogène ou de l'air.
