ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improvement is provided in a gas outlet device which includes a valve housing an inlet section to the valve housing, and a connector tube that is adapted to be inserted into and interengaged with the gas in- let section so as to cause the flow of gas through the valve housing, the inlet section and the outlet section. The improvement comprises (1) the perimeter of the opening containing diametrically opposed slots, (2) two diametrically opposed elongated ridges extending along the exterior surface of the connector tube, the elongated ridges being adapted to pass through the slots in the inlet section, (3) a pair of spaced apart and parallel locking wires extending across the opening of the inlet section, (4) two spaced apart wire engaging members located on the exterior of the connec- tor tube, each of the wire engaging members including a first portion that is adapted to spread the locking wires outwardly with respect to each other and a second transverse slot portion that allows the locking wires to re- turn to an approximately parallel relationship, and (5) a disengager mem- ber associated with the connector tube which will when activated by pulling the connector tube, dislodge the locking wires from the transverse slot portion. A gas outlet device and a connector tube are thus provided that can be engaged and disengaged by simply pushing and pulling the connector tube. In other words, by pushing the connector tube into the inlet section the locking wires will engage with the transverse slot portions to thereby hold the connector tube and inlet section together and by pulling the con- nector tube away from the inlet section the disengager member will dislodge the locking wires from the transverse slot portion. This thereby elimin- ates the necessity for rotating the connector tube in order to engage it with the gas outlet device.
